The Wire – Season 3
“Moral Midgetry” (B+)
Everybody loves Omar and McNulty, but damn if I’m not completely enraptured by everything that Stringer’s doing right now. After getting beat down by bureaucracy and gang “tradition,” he explodes at Clay and Avon. I’m also intrigued to see how Carcetti’s ambitions either get the best of him, or play out in the remaining seasons. No show weaves so rich a tapestry.
