The Weekender: ‘Wanted’ Dead or Alive

Movie of the Week

A Most Wanted Man
Even if it leaves me cold and indifferent, I want to see one of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s final performances, in a gorgeously shot film from Anton Corbijn. Reviews were mixed out of Sundance, but I’m in, especially since it’s based on a John la Carré novel.

The Fluffy Movie

I Origins – The Magnolia
Le Chef – Angelika Dallas
Very Good Girls – Angelika Dallas
We from Dallas – Texas Theatre

Blu-ray Pick

Blue Ruin
Blue Ruin
I know it was my Movie of the Week a while back, but yes it’s that good. It’s a brutally efficient revenge thriller that toys with your expectations of what a revenge thriller should be.
