What I Watched This Week: 20 Jun 2021

Conan (A) / series finale
I rarely watched this latest iteration of Conan O’Brien doing weird bits and talking to celebrities, and definitely not since he trimmed the show to a half-hour. But the best thing I can say about this star-studded finale is that I regret not tuning in more often. The clips were great, the final interview (with Jack Black) was hilarious and unpretentious, and the farewells were heartfelt. No one exactly knows what his form his deal with HBO Max will take, but this was a great pitch for whatever that ends up being.
