Fall TV Preview 2015

Well, another fall season is upon us. I’m not alone in thinking this is one of the weakest slates of new shows in a long, long time. With that, and the fact that my schedule is far busier this autumn than any years past, and I’ve still got a stack of DVDs I’ve owned but never watched, and there are at least a dozen incredible-looking movies that will hit theaters before the year is through, I’m going to cool it on the weekly coverage. Yes, there will still be posts every week, but I can’t promise I’ll devote much of my time to trying to keep up with new shows. So here’s what you can expect:

REGULAR COVERAGE – Reviews of every new episode each week
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox) – Premieres Sept. 27
Fargo (FX) – Premieres Oct. 12
The Mindy Project (Hulu) – Premiered Sept. 15

OLD FAVORITES – Shows I’ll check in on for special occasions or acclaimed episodes
Modern Family (ABC) – Premieres Sept. 23
Saturday Night Live (NBC) – Premieres Oct. 3
The Simpsons (Fox) – Premieres Sept. 27
South Park (Comedy Central) – Premiered Sept. 16

NEW SHOWS – Will likely check out the premiere, but will only commit if I’m hooked
American Horror Story: Hotel (FX) – Premieres Oct. 7
Ash vs. Evil Dead (Starz) – Premieres Oct. 31
Casual (Hulu) – Premieres Oct. 7
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (The CW) – Premieres Oct. 12
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah (Comedy Central) – Premieres Sept. 28
The Grinder (Fox) – Premieres Sept. 29
Jessica Jones (Netflix) – Premieres Nov. 20
The Man in the High Castle (Amazon) – Premieres Nov. 20
Master of None (Netflix) – Premieres Nov. 6
The Muppets (ABC) – Premieres Sept. 22
With Bob and David (Netflix) – Premieres Nov. 13

I’ll also continue covering Season 9 of The Simpsons alongside The A.V. Club.
