Only in TV do characters instantly have someone who wants to sleep with them when they go back home. But Togetherness manages to make Brett and Alex’s return more melancholy than exciting. This a brutally honest episode about friendship and deferred dreams.

The Wire (Season 4) – “Misgivings” (B+)
An extremely violent episode, but one that’s extremely harrowing in how it doesn’t spare the kids from any of it. As expected, everything is going to shit for everyone.
