This finale is more of a TBD than a B-plus. This will only work if Chris Messina returns as a regular cast member next season. All these plates spinning, this romance quadrangle(?) will only pay off, regardless of Mindy’s choice, if Danny’s back. This season has been the show’s best in some ways, but it’s still got a lot of things to work out, and that depends on Chris Messina.

Even 25 years later, this show still slays, a paragon of multi-cam comedy.
