The Big Chill [The Criterion Collection]
Certainly one of the best movies of the 1980s, it’s a little surprising a smash like this has come to Criterion, usually home to acclaimed but little-seen foreign films. But as usual they’ve treated this one right. Even if some of the fashions and references are a little dated, the friendships depicted onscreen feel timeless. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth picking up, even if at the end of the day all you really want is the soundtrack.
